Science teachers Dr. Doreen Mizzi, Ms. Shirley Bonnici Spiteri and Ms. Wendy Sultana from Stella Maris College, Gzira presented the JUSTNature Tree Inventory exercise in the MOST Expo that is currently underway in the Netherlands.

On the 15 December 2022, over 100 students, teachers, LSEs, and members from the senior leadership team of Stella Maris College Senior School, Gzira, joined the Research Innovation Unit and a team from University of Malta to carry out a tree inventory of over 200 trees found within the vast premises of the Stella Maris College.

MOST (Meaningful Open Schooling Connects Schools to Communities), is a European Commission Horizon 2020 funded project that aims to implement School Community Projects (SCPs) based on the open schooling approach. The aim of the MOST project is to provide opportunities for schools to work together with private individuals, companies and associations within the community on strategies to address issues related to the environment. The aim of this collaborative work leads is intended to promote the scientific knowledge and transversal skills of society.
