On August 5th, the Research Innovation Unit, representing the Gzira Local Council, held its 2nd stakeholder workshop at the Gzira Parish Hall. The workshop welcomed residents and teachers from the area.

With support from the University of Malta, the workshop provided the first group of residents with the opportunity to collaborate on solutions for the pilot area. They discussed different tree species and creepers, giving them the chance to choose plants for the implementation phase. The group of teachers focused on the concept of practice labs in schools to address environmental challenges in Gzira through nature-based solutions. They also discussed the types of events and activities that they could organize to involve students in the practice labs.
